Insanity and Other Madness

Oh man. Alright, so I’m done with Month 1 of the Insanity workout. >_< I’m really nervous about this new level of craziness that is set to begin on Monday. :/ I’m sure I’ll get through it though. Month 1 was good, and really difficult, but I enjoyed the challenge. I’ve definitely gotten stronger and increased my endurance. I think my least favorite segment was the one with all of the power jumps. I think it was Plyo? On the bright side, I can now DO power jumps. I couldn’t before. My push-up form is also greatly improved.  So given that, I think much progress is being made on one of my resolutions for 2011. *^__^* The others are also coming along.

Right now I’m working on the revamp for the BeKyoot booth for 2011. I’ve got to design and unify several new elements and such, which will be a fun new challenge. We will have the Berry plushies in March so I’ve also got to work on realistic ideas for the Berry patch. I can’t wait. I’ve also got several others in the works including the elusive Momocheet Cupcake plushie and Evil Landlord plushies. I need to get my new 2011 t-shirt designs lined up as well. We’ll be cycling the 2010 designs out very soon. I’m super excited because I’ve got a really neat idea for a new/different line of shirts. They will be aimed more at guys, but could also work on chick shirts. It’ll be different than my normal cute theme, though it’ll still have some cute incorporated.

This is where I mention redesigning this blog for the x^10 time. Except this time I’m actually going to do it, and am aiming the new site launch to be around the 100th wallpaper posting that I have coming up.

I realized the other day that I haven’t done a music post in a while. I’ve been seriously jamming to Florence + The Machine and a couple others that I’ve picked up recently. I’ll go ahead and hide the video spam below the cut, though…let me assure you it’s quite worth the click. *^___~*

It’s been quite a week! I got the new Spring flowers up on the main layout…now I’m moving on to tackle, completely dismantle and redesign the shopping cart. This is SO much fun. I look forward to it more than anything in the world! ….. Actually I hate it. I get in verbal fist fights with the shopping cart software and though I do eventually get my way, it is not without some bloodshed. It’ll be very worth it though. I just have to keep my eyes set on that. To distract myself from that task I’m redesigning both Kendra and my own blog. I’ve chosen Samu meditating for mine and Kendra wanted Bunny Menace all over hers. This is the fun stuff that keeps me sane while dealing with the shopping cart.

My freebie pack of background tiles is nearing completion. I’ll have that ready for release sometime next week. I’m having a ball of a time making seamless patterns. I might do a quick tut on it as well! Hrmmmm…

And for today’s sketch, one I actually forgot to post! Ah well.

A Busy December

I has been a pretty busy last few weeks. I visited with my family over Thanksgiving which was really fun. I also got the new site launched and fell behind on the webcomic. Yet again. *sigh* I’m back on it. I have the next 5 pages I just haven’t had the chance to get them uploaded and edited yet.   i also have so many freebies to make. I’ve also been working on new products. The Greeting Card line is launching tomorrow…or as soon as I get the bundle and single cards up on the shop. So is the massive Sale…not enough hours in a day!!

It snowed today in Houston! I was jumping and yelling at my window along with everyone else from the building across the parking lot. *^___^* It was pretty fun. It might still be snowing now and hopefully there will be some accumulation over night! I haven’t seen a good snowfall in a couple years. *.*.*\(^o^)/*.*.*

Next up is the shop redesign…which will fit nicely in with the main site.  It’ll be a bit different, but I think it’s wise to keep them a little separate especially due to how graphics intensive the main site is. i’m confident it won’t be nearly the headache that the main site was. First of all I’m totally in the groove and mood and have mapped out everything to the T. So it should go well unless the shopping cart software has a seizure which is very possible. In that case I shall be endeavoring to recreate the Sound of Ultimate Suffering.

Virb, Twitter, Acrylics, and Kyoot

I just created the BeKyoot pages on Virb and Twitter, (http://www.virb.com/bekyoot) and (http://www.twitter.com/bekyoot) so you’ll be able to see us there as well as follow our tweets if so inclined. I plan to have a live Twitter feed on the frontpage, and will probably be experimenting with my own on here. Yes this will be under construction too. I’d love to have some new content lined up but the main site is going to be coming first. Actually I’ll probably start sketch dumping here just because I feel the need. Tutorials…OH!!!! Hey!!! I could start with my Halloween Pumpkin Seeds recipe!! Woohoo!!! ok so that’s not exactly art, but they sure are yummy! (if you like garlic.) I’ve got the new line of shirts coming…:D There will still be some of our tested favorites, but I’m really excited about the new products we have coming. Think…huggable Happi and Momocheet. And I know I’ve been saying that for ages, but it really is happening, and I’ll be posting the prototypes as soon as we have them and they go into production!!!

Additionally, there’s some internal boobalage (bubbling) on opening a front in Second Life and IMVU. We’re working on a product line and storefront for those and I’m busy drawing. O_O I’m gonna go crazy here soon I know it. The only thing keeping me sane are my runs at night. Houston has had the blessing of gorgeous weather ever since Ike blew his swarmy butt out of town and I’ve been taking full advantage with runs at the park every night. 3 miles or more depending on if I get going in time to get home before the sun sets. I hate running in the dark. Not so much because I’m scared or it’s dangerous (which it is) but more so because I can’t see that well in it. I do better in full on night than I do in dusk. I do better with glasses or contacts than without, but my current running system (read: my headphones) doesn’t allow me to wear glasses. So yeah. I’m weird. But you probably knew that already, right? I do have some awesome results to report though! I’ve lost 6lbs since my last weigh and am still going! I am within 10lbs of the lowest I’ve ever been and within 20lbs of my goal! Man…I thought I wasn’t going anywhere and stepped onto the scale fully expecting disappointment…\(^o^)/<3 hehehee! Maybe I’ll post a working tutorial on that!

Hmmm what else? oh! If you follow on dA, I’ve started posting some pictures of acrylic paintings that Kendra and I have done for the entry here at the office. We decided to put them up for sale! So! If you want a one-of-a-kind HUGE piece of BeKyoot art, then keep your eyes open for the new section going up. I don’t know if we’ll ever get up to the production and scale of Threadless (they put out three new designs for their Chicago store each WEEK O_O;;;), but we’re trying! Each piece is hand-drawn by me and either hand-painted by myself or by Bu. Please go harass her on her blog next door. She needs to update it. But she’s sick right now so don’t push too hard.
